My name is Ingrid Ockert, although I also use ‘Ingrid Rocket’ upon occasion.
Born in Portland, Oregon, I grew up in bookstores, forests, and breweries. Both my childhood love of science fiction and old television shows has come in handy as I’ve researched the intertwined histories of science communication and education. In 2018, I graduated with a doctoral degree from the History of Science Program at Princeton University. Additionally, I was the 2018-2019 NASA/HSS History Fellow and the 2018-2020 Haas Postdoctoral Fellow at the Science History Institute.
I advise the American Archive of Public Broadcasting. I also serve as the Online Content Manager for the Radio Preservation Task Force.
Currently, I’m looking for work along the West Coast. If you need someone to research, write, or design a media campaign, please reach out!
