My name is Ingrid Ockert, although I also use ‘Ingrid Rocket.’
Born in Portland, Oregon, I grew up in bookstores, forests, and breweries. In 2018, I graduated with a doctoral degree from the History of Science Program at Princeton University.
Currently, I work as a technical writer and editor at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for the Computer Sciences area. I also advise the American Archive of Public Broadcasting. I am a proud member of the National Association of Science Writers and the Northern California Science Writers Association. My award-winning research has been supported by the Smithsonian and NASA. I have worked for the Science History Institute, the Library of Congress’ Radio Preservation Task Force, and Princeton University’s Council on Science and Technology.
